Castle Goldrain is situated in the centre of a geographical triangle formed by Austria, Switzerland and Italy. It's about 30 km from Merano and 50 km from the Resia pass in the county of Lances. The closest motorway exit in Italy is Bolzano and in Tyrol it is Landeck.

How to reach us by car

From the Brenner: Motorway A 22 towards Verona, Bolzano South exit, from there directly the highway MEBO towards Merano, from Merano the road towards Reschenpass to Goldrain.

From the Reschenpass: motorway from Innsbruck towards Bregenz, exit Landeck, from there the road towards Reschenpass, from the Reschenpass the state road to Merano till Goldrain.

Coming from Switzerland from the border crossing Müstair/Tubre on the state road to Merano to Goldrain.

How to reach us by train

From the Brenner to Bozen, from there to Meran to Goldrain: When you by your ticket starting the travel, the destination Goldrain will not be available. You must buy the ticket in Merano. Here in Merano you can buy the ticket to Goldrain then for the local railway “Vinschgauerbahn”.

If you arrive over the Reschenpass, take the train to Landeck and then here change to the bus to Nauders. In Nauders there is a bus connection to Mals, from where you can transfer to the local railway “Vinschgauerbahn” up to Goldrain.
